Email Format Processing

Prizm Content Connect provides support for email formats used to save e-mail messages by several applications including Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Apple Mail, Lotus Notes, and Mozilla Thunderbird. Prizm Content Connect’s support for these format includes support for the associated image, document and e-mail message attachments. So, if your messages have attached raster images, e-mail messages in EML or MSG format, PDF and Word documents, these e-mail messages can be stored, and the Prizm Content Connect viewer will extract the attachments and render them for display along with the e-mail message content.

The attachment file name support is limited to US-ASCII characters.

The following e-mail format extensions are supported:

MSG	Used by Microsoft Office Outlook.
EML	Used by different e-mail clients including Microsoft Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Apple Mail, Lotus Notes and Mozilla Thunderbird.
